APPLE CIDER VINEGAR – NATURES DIGESTIVE AID
The extensive list of apple cider vinegar benefits has been well-known for centuries. It is so good for digestion because it is both PREBIOTIC and PROBIOTIC! It’s been shown to keep blood sugar in check, improve and accelerate weight loss, and even improve the appearance of skin.
It is very potent stuff – it only takes one to two tablespoons of ACV to take advantage of the health benefits.
I usually recommend starting with 1 tsp per day and building up to 2 tbsp.! Here are my top 3 reasons I LOVE to use ACV daily in my diet – and why I feel it can act as a medicinal food – especially for the digestive tract.
1. IMPROVES PROBIOTICS IN THE GUT. Probiotics are necessary for healthy digestion – they keep digestion healthy and smooth. Unfortunately, too much-refined sugar can decrease the amount of probiotic in your system leaving you with symptoms. Increasing probiotics is one of the best way to improve digestion ASAP. ACV is a great way to do that!
2. BALANCE BLOOD SUGAR AND LOSE BELLY WEIGHT– ACV has been shown to balance blood sugar, therefore keeping diabetes at bay, and allowing the system to store less sugar and fat. It has also been shown to curb cravings, therefore keeping you eating healthy foods – which is very important for digestion as a whole
3. REDUCES HEARTBURN – ACV has been shown to reduce heartburn by increasing acidity and enzymes in the stomach to breakdown food, therefore reducing the amount and backflow being produced by the body. This has the best effect when consumed before a meal with a glass of water. Start with 1 tsp and work up to 1 tbsp.
