Dr. Jodi’s DAILY PRACTICES FOR A HEALTHY LIFE!
*Make sure the first thing you do in the morning is meaningful – even if it takes 30 seconds – while you are lying in bed – connect with yourself, set an intention for the day, tell yourself you are strong, and worthy and full of light, breathe, whatever it is for you – make it connected. DO NOT CHECK YOUR PHONE. Stay internal
*If you find you are carrying the burden of your whole day or week into the morning right from the start – stop yourself, and keep bringing yourself back to the moment. It is hard to stay present in life, when you are constantly overwhelmed with all the tasks. This is a practice – build the muscle and keep bringing yourself BACK to the moment and task at hand.
*Find gratitude before 10 am – and breathe It in. slow it down. Take it in.
*drink lemon water first thing in the am – put something nourishing into your body. DO NOT LET COFFEE be the first thing that enters your system
*BE AWARE of your self talk – notice when you are being critical or coming from “not enough” and use tools to change this – talk to yourself as if you were talking to a best friend or your child
*eat GREENS at every meal if possible – we cant be perfect every day – but try to aim for more veggies
*Ask yourself this one simple question before you put food in your mouth – – is this going to heal my body or harm it? 80% of the time the answer should be heal.
*FOOD has massive power to change your health and your life – use it wisely
*KNOW that the path to self growth and healing is NOT linear – it’s a practice. Always come back, NEVER GIVE UP
*Find COMMUNITY – none of us can do this thing called life alone. FIND YOUR TRIBE, your PEOPLE
*SET INTENTIONS and GOALS and check in with them often.
*THIS IS IT – THIS IS YOUR LIFE _ NOW. RIGHT HERE _ make it count!
